“Do the next right thing for you.” I just got back from a conference where keynote speaker Andrew Zimmern said this and it struck me. “Do the next right thing for you.” It’s almost as though I finally had permission to be ok with change. Change can be good. Have you noticed the changes here on my website and my blog posts?
I started this over two years ago. Trying to make this blog a place I could write about good things. I’ve wanted to write about only good things because I personally am tired of negativity. I, unfortunately, feed on it. It gathers around me like dust gathers around PigPen. I figured I couldn’t possibly be the only person that felt like this in a world of seven point four billion people, right?
Then the next right thing came along of my love of writing about my travels. And I geared this site towards that, but it wasn’t sitting right with me. I’m not a world traveler. And I missed writing about good things. So another shift started to happen a few months ago ~ back to what I wanted to do to begin with. This means that “do the next right thing for you” for me ~ happens to be something I’d already been doing.
This is a blog about good stuff. Stories, inspiration, happiness, gratitude, self-esteem, and yes, travel too. I want a reader to walk away with a reminder of who they are. In this fast-paced, hurry-up world, we lose sight of who we are because we’re so busy “being” for everyone else. I hope a reader will feel safe here.
Read my stories, share your stories, tell me what you like, tell me what you would like to see more of. If you need to be negative, get it out of your system, you’ll probably feel better for it, but know I’ll delete any negative comments. This is safe space.
I would love to see more interaction so I know you’re out there. I’d like to be sure someone finds some good in what I am attempting to do here. I truly appreciate my readers and would love to get to know you lurkers better.
Thanks for reading!
